Position Objective:
The role of the Store Manager is to oversee all aspects of the daily shop operations. The Store Manager will implement an organized workflow, manage profitability expectations, and create a positive, team-oriented culture. They will work closely with, and seek guidance from, the General Manager (GM) of the company to achieve shop goals and manage expectations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a management role, or similar job function, is preferred but not required. Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate confidence in a Leadership role while motivating their team to achieve common goals. Candidates should be proficient in all aspects of various makes/models of vehicles: their maintenance, repairs, parts, and components.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive repair industry as an automotive technician and/or service writer. Prior knowledge of the Mitchell TeamWorks platform is preferred, but not required. As Store Manager you must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all different types of personalities and must possess the ability to work through difficult situations while maintaining a calm, polite, professional, and poised demeanor: all while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Being an effective listener, showing empathy and handling oneself in an ethical manner is crucial: both with our clients and co-workers.
Areas of Responsibility:
The Store Manager will be responsible for the overall operation, efficiency, and profitability of their shop location to include the facility’s appearance, cleanliness, and tool/equipment maintenance; all while keeping their team on track.
The Store Manager will report directly to the General Manager and will work closely with their Technicians, Service Advisor and Customer Service Representative to maintain an organized and profitable team environment: communicating any issues or concerns within the team to the GM. They will need to gather information, both current and historical, on the client’s vehicle using the information available: prior service history, car fax, the digital multi-point inspections and any other relevant avenues.
Working closely with the technicians, the Store Manager will build detailed estimates (including parts & labor) then contacting the client to discuss repairs, maintenance, and cost. There may be other responsibilities and duties, as assigned, to ensure proper execution of our company’s mission statement and 100% customer satisfaction.
Specific duties/tasks
Position Objective:
The role of the Service Advisor is to build accurate and profitable estimates of maintenance and repair recommendations for our client’s needs. The Service Advisor will work closely with the Technicians, Manager and Customer Service Representatives (CSR) at their shop location.
The primary focus is to build estimates, inclusive of parts & labor, addressing repairs for client concerns: as well as technician recommended repairs & preventative maintenance. Once estimates are completed, the Service Advisor acts as the liaison between the Technician and the Customer. They will contact the client to discuss repairs & recommendations, update the repair order, and keep the shop Manager & CSR updated.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 1 year of experience in sales and/or customer service, exceptional phone skills, and a valid driver’s license. Prior industry experience and ASE C1 would be beneficial, but not required. The Service Advisor must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all different types of personalities; often adapting themself to meet that of the client.
The ability of explaining services and maintenance items recommended, and ask for the sale, is crucial. Candidates must possess the ability to work through difficult situations while maintaining a calm, professional and poised demeanor: all while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Working closely with the technicians, they will build detailed estimates (including parts & labor) then contact the client to discuss repairs, maintenance, cost and getting customer approval. The Service Advisor will be responsible for ordering parts, dispatching jobs to proper Technician, based on skill sets, and keeping track of in-house inventory.
When there is no CSR at their location, the Service Advisor will also assume the responsibility of answering the phones, making appointments, vehicle check-ins and other customer care duties. There may be other responsibilities and tasks, as assigned, to ensure proper execution of our company’s mission statement and 100% customer satisfaction.
Specific duties/tasks
• Research vehicle histories utilizing all available avenues
• Review technician digital multi-point inspections & proof for errors
• Work directly with technicians regarding findings and recommendations
• Source parts utilizing all available vendors and resources
• Source and read parts diagrams
• Build accurate and profitable estimates addressing repairs &maintenance recommendations
• Send digital multi-point inspection reports to clients using their preferred method
• Make the sales call
◦ Contact clients with the information, get the approval and schedule repairs/maintenance to be done
• Keep shop Manager and CSR aware of work sold and time frame of completion promised
• Update Repair Orders and schedule as work is sold
• Keep track of internal inventory of parts and products we keep stocked
• Keep work space and parts & inventory areas clean and organized
• Set tire pressures
• Answer phones in a professional, friendly manner

• Complete the transaction with customer at vehicle pick up & cash them out
CSR Duties/task
• Opening of waiting area each morning
• Label all keys for vehicles dropped off
• Check-in dropped off vehicles and those of guests as they arrive
• Hang keys on Technician’s hooks in regard to job order per the schedule
• Strive to acknowledge every guest that enters as soon as possible
◦ Greet them before they speak!
• Answer phones with standard, polite, and friendly greeting
• Gather all customer information / update existing customer information, including email addresses
• Get information on customer concerns and needs & create a Work Order
◦ Gather basic vehicle info: year, make & model
• Build and nurture customer relationships: new and existing
◦ Have empathy to their concerns
◦ Try to schedule the appointment within their convenience
◦ Be honest, be real: if you don’t know, say so: but get the answer!
◦ Offer to make them the cup of coffee
◦ Make conversation: be interested in them as people & find common ground
• Schedule appointments
• Set expectations and communicate with customer on the expected timeline of their visit
◦ Inform them we will be completing a complementary multi-point inspection
◦ We will text or email it to them, followed up by a phone call: which do they prefer?
• Assist in customer and/or vehicle pick-up and delivery services
• Assist in any customer communications/updates per the Manager & Service Advisor
• Contact customers when vehicle is ready
◦ going over the invoice and completed work
◦ ask to exit schedule their next service or deferred recommended repairs
• Process payments
◦ Arrange payment & key/vehicle placement for after hour pick ups
• Email/mail corporate customer invoices for those with their preferred method
• Track loaner car availability and have loaners ready for customer pick-up
• End of day closing of the waiting area & locking doors
• Weekly follow up ‘Thank You’ calls and ‘Thank You’ cards

The role of the Automotive Technician Level I is to perform basic vehicle maintenance services on a variety of vehicle makes and models, while demonstrating an eagerness to learn and grow in a face-paced, team-oriented environment.
This entry level position promotes continued professional growth through collaborating with teammates of all skill levels and honing one’s own skills through their guidance. As a team we work together to fulfill our promise of providing exceptional customer service and high-quality automotive repairs to ensure the vehicles we service & repair are safe and reliable.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 1 – 2 years in the automotive industry. A valid driver’s license is required. Qualified applicants must be dependable, have a clean and professional appearance with the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of personalities while maintaining a professional demeanor.
They must be a team player with the ability to multi-task and manage their time efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while being self-motivated with the ability to recover quickly from any setbacks and a desire for long term career development. Basic computer skills and internet proficiency is necessary. ASE certifications are a plus, but not required.
